Everything from a ready-to-run train set, a static railway layout, to a modular railway layout for home or exhibition use.
The layout below is my passion project, Brimscombe in Stroud. An exact to scale 33 foot ( just over 10 metres ) OO layout which I will be building over time and documenting the process here. There will be videos of how I got to this point, then detailed playlist of videos and articles of the build process.
I have been involved in the design and construction of over 150 layouts and more than 5000 baseboards, making many friends along the way. With over 20 years of layout building experience, I am sharing my experience in creating layout designs from the very beginning, all the way up to a complete layout. Exploring the builds from myself and my friends layouts, I will be documenting them here and on my YouTube channel, along with other related articles to appear in regards to design, electrics/electronics and production too.
Modular Design
My personal passion is ‘modular design’, from the layout build, trackwork and scenery. All sections of the build can be broken down to manageable sections. It is also financially more viable to do so, as a result, layouts do not have to be destroyed, they can be moved, recycled or sold.
Workshops
I will build over the coming months and years my own new projects, providing videos and downloads to go with them. Also providing live workshops on varied topics during a build. These will be mainly posted on YouTube, but some might be in a members section here or on my Patreon.
Manufacture
Some of the many ideas I have made for my customers, or myself, will be either published here in a PDF format to download, some will be free, others will have to be purchased. There will also be 3D printed designs for sale. Laser cutting for bespoke buildings is to follow soon after.
